| Who's the real big texan? |
- Jeaux 4/4/2005 10:33:57 PM |
Dane "thebigtexan" Johnson made his move late with 3 of the Final 4 teams after landing only 9 in the Sweet 16. But in the end, he had the final match-up and the national champion Tarheels, edging out Beau "Money" Hendricks by one point.
Thanks to all of you for playing... and congratulations to SBC for winning the Pod Challenge for the 2nd year in a row.

| Yes, I know such words are difficult for a U-VA fan such as me to say, but darnit, I don't want the Ourang-Outang to defeat me! |
| And then there were two... |

| 56 scored perfectly in Round 5, with 107 people still having points in the final game... 61 with Illinois, 46 with UNC and it looks like a face-off for the trophy between two first timers, Keith "TO" Clark in Illinois' corner representing SBC pod and Dane "thebigtexan" Johnson going for UNC representing the XOR pod. |
| Round 3 and 4 Wrap-Up |
- Jeaux 3/27/2005 10:18:24 PM |
rozzrider won Round 3 earning 24 of a possible 36 points (6 of 8 games)
Nine people tied for first in Round 4 earning 12 of a possible 20 points including CheckRaise, Chito, dnice, G-man, Money, rozzrider, thebigtexan, TO and UT Man
REGIONAL MVP's
East MVP's (31 possible points):
1. Keith "TO" Clark: 26 pts
2. Melissa "mcheller" Heller: 25 pts
Midwest MVP's (34 possible points):
1. Landon "The Kerse" Kersey: 28 pts
2. Beau "Money" Hendrick: 27 pts
South MVP (37 possible points)
1. Kieran "rozzrider" McGuire: 34 pts
West MVP (34 possible points)
1. Shawn "spickrel" Pickrel: 31 pts
Nobody predicted a perfect Final 4 although 8 people got 3 out of 4 (see Round 3 MVP's above less rozzrider)
41 people have neither team in the championship game with 59 having at least a chance at both.
110 people still have their champion winning it all: 61 have Illinois, 46 have UNC, and 3 have Louisville
With that in mind, there are 5 possible winners ordered below by odds:
1. Keith "TO" Clark (if Illinois is in championship regardless of opponent)
2. Kieran "rozzrider" McGuire (If Michigan State is in championship, or UNC beats Louisville)
3. Dane "thebigtexan" Johnson (If North Carolina beats Illinois)
4. Lee "Hired Gun" Gilmore (Louisville-UNC, Louisville wins)
5. Shawn "spickrel" Pickrell (Louisville-MSU, Louisville wins)

| Can't we all get along? |

| I think we should all just have a group hug. |

If you really think you are going to win, you are nuts. If you really think you are going to beat me you are nuts.
Yes, it is your Cinderella story this year, but it's about to be midnight, and my floors need cleaning, ugly stepsister. |
| good run |

| this year is my very own cinderella story- last year i tied for an amazing 119th place, but way to be beaten by a girl kissy-(and stop calling me rosalyn-your officially eating my dust, so you can stop that now) |

Most nicknames are given not taken. I was Henry in High School, Kissy in college. Didn't choose either one.

| I will not rag on you... |

Although you deserve a severe ripping in to, I feel sorry for an adult male who chooses the name "Kissy". I feel you have punished yourself enough.
P.S. My girlfriends little sister has the same screen name. She is 15. |
