Lee also correctly picked Bonds as the NL MVP and Clemens as the AL Cy Young winner. Second place was shared by Chito, Craig and Jeaux each with 11 points. Ironically, one of these three has been in the top two positions for four consecutive years, showing their dominance in the greatest sport (baseball).

Heisman trophy winner Josh Heupel 2000 Big 12 Battle
Winner: Tim "earl" Forrester Completed: 11/25/2000 Final Standings
Tim Forrester ran away with this contest based not only on his fine record (27-6) but on his domination of points (429) - 81 points better than to the next best point total (Mike Albright at 3rd). Phillip Maple grabbed second with an identical record, but could not make up for the point differential. Some credit should be given to Jay Champman, who although finishing 14th, predicted OU's undefeated season. The only problem was he picked the Horns to lose all of their games which accounted for 9 of his 13 losses.

Sooners stomp Cowboys in Bedlam 1999 Big 12 Battle
Winner: "Sooner/Yankee Phil" Maple Completed: 11/27/1999 Final Standings
This year's winner wasn't decided until the last game of the season when the Sooners stomped the OSU Cowboys 44-7 in Bedlam action at Owen field. An appropriate end to sum up the results of the contest since most of the OSU fans who picked the Cowboys to do well fared near the bottom of the poll, while the Sooner faithfuls stayed near the top. Pretty much the reverse of last year's results. In the end, Phillip Maple takes the prize with a 29-5 record with 571 points

Once again the baseball fanatics tried to predict the season's outcome at the All-Star break by choosing Division Winners, Wild Cards, Cy Young and MVP winners as well as the Home Run and RBI leaders. This year it was Jeaux's exacto match on Manny Ramierez's 165 RBI combined with his selection of both league's Cy Young winners that gave him the edge over Dave Smith who fared well on his home run selections.

The top 3 had an overall record of 27-6 with point totals of 382, 388 and 414 respectively.
Juan Gonzalez, AL MVP 1998 Baseball Talk Predictions
Winner: Paul "Chito" Dalton Completed: 11/18/1998 Final Standings
A group of dedicated baseball fans made their predictions during the All-Star break of how they thought the 1998 season would turn out in the following categories: Division winners, AL & NL MVP, AL & NL Cy Young winners, # of home runs for top two players, # of RBI's for leading candidate. After the dust settled, Chito was the most accurate by correctly selecting Gonzalez as the AL MVP, choosing 5 of the division winners, getting closest to the RBI total by choosing Gonzalez to hit 160, and tying for 2nd with McGwire at 67 and Griffey at 58.
